Dr. Gloria DeSantis was featured in an article published in the March 3, 2010 edition of the Prairie Messenger.
In it, she is quoted about the many factors that can affect public health, as part of a seminar on public health and social justice at the University of Regina.
DeSantis refers to programs that benefitted families with children, as well as other initiatives such as Old Age Security and the Canada Pension Plan, and how such efforts to reduce inequality and inequities can help enhance health.
