Antenatal and Postpartum Depression in High-Risk Women
Abstract
This study enrolled a cohort of women during early pregnancy, to study the determinants of depression during pregnancy. The study will identify factors that relate to depression either as moderators or mediators because knowing this information may lead to newer opportunities to identify and prevent depression. This work will inform the content and targeting of early intervention programs for depression during pregnancy by identifying those who are at increased risk for depression during pregnancy, identifying what factors appear to mitigate or exacerbate these risks and by knowing how depression changes during pregnancy and after birth.
