Evaluation of Health Transfer Initiative

Overview

This evaluation will focus on the following areas:

1. Assessing progress to date on the recommendations for each program area included in the 2002 Healt Transfer Initiative conducted by SPHERU;

2. Assessing health managers' perceptions of health services;

3. Identifying external influences affecting delivery of health services;

4. Identifying goals and visions for the next five years

To accomplish this, SPHERU is completing the following activities:

1. Establishment of an Evaluation Project Team comprised of SPHERU researchers and PAGC.

2. Collection, review and analysis of relevant reports and data, including health status indicators, where such information is readilt accessible and available.

3. Completion of interviews with PAGC-based staff in the relevant program areas

4. Completion of interviews with PAGC Health and Social Development management.

5. Completion of interviews with Health Directors and relevant community based staff.

6. Preparation of an Evaluation Plan for approval by the Evaluation Project Team.

7. Preparation of a final evaluation report.
