History of Diabetes Data Processing Unit

Abstract

This project will develop a data processing and dissemination facility for research into the history of First Nations diabetes in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.  Focus will be on the period leading up to its emergence in as an epidemic in the latter part og the 20th century.  This will enhance the study of diabetes in Canada by supplying key historical context for ongoing contemporary biomedical and population research.
