On July 1, 2006, Dr. Bonnie Jeffery became the Director of the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit (SPHERU). She has been a research faculty member in SPHERU since 2000.
Bonnie is also a Professor in the Faculty of Social Work. A faculty member since 1979, she has served as Director, Social Policy Research Unit; Assistant Dean; and Coordinator of both the Saskatoon and Prince Albert Faculty of Social Work sites over this time period.
As a social work educator, Bonnie has maintained a long-standing commitment to access to post secondary professional education for rural and northern residents and has spent all but three years of her time with the Faculty of Social Work as a resident faculty in either Saskatoon or Prince Albert .
